SEVERAL historic spots in the Wee County can be viewed by the public as part of Doors Open Days 2018.

The event has been organised locally by Clackmannanshire Heritage Trust with support from Clackmannanshire Council and will run across September 29-30.

A diverse range of properties are taking place this year and the programme includes guided tours and the opportunity to take a peek into places not normally open.

Alloa Fire Station, Alloa Ludgate Church, Alloa St John's Episcopal Church, Alloa St Mungo's Parish Church, The Coach House Theatre and Alloa Tower will take part.

The Alva Ice House, Alva Old Kirkyard and Johnston Mausoleum, Clackmannan Parish Church, Clackmannan Tower and Devon Colliery Beam Engine House are also listed.

People can take advantage of the Clackmannan Heritage Trail Walks, or travel through the past and present with Serf, Sauchie, Silver – a circular place name walk.

Sauchie and Coalsnaughton Parish Church and Sauchie Tower will also be participating, or visit the likes of Dollar Museum and Kennetpans Distillery and Warehouse.

Drop in on Tillicoultry Parish Church, check out Tullibody Community Garden, or see the work that has been going on in Tullibody Heritage Centre.

Take a walk around the ancient settlement that is Tullibody and learn a thing or two and don't forget to pop into the town's St Serf's Church.
