A CLYDEBANK man attacked his ex-partner then smashed a television set and a mobile phone.
Andrew Boyle, 45, of Quarryknowe Street, pleaded guilty at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last Friday, to a series of offences which happened on May 19 at a house in Limekilns Street, Clydebank.
Prosecutor Sarah Healing told the court how Boyle assaulted his ex-partner by repeatedly seizing her by the hair and pulling her to the ground.
He then repeatedly punched her on the head, causing her to fall to the ground.
Boyle admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm by entering the house uninvited and behaving in an aggressive manner.
He refused to leave and was shouting and swearing and made threats of violence.
The court heard Boyle then smashed up a TV set and wilfully destroyed a mobile telephone.
Sheriff John Hamilton deferred sentence until July 20 to get a report as to Boyle’s ability to be placed on a domestic violence programme. Bail was continued.
