A CLYDEBANK man who shouted and swore at his ex’s grandmother has been jailed for 15 weeks.

David Pert previously was convicted of assaulting a man under provocation in Crescent Court, Dalmuir, back on June 5, 2016. He was put on a community payback order but breached that.

Then on May 22 last year, in Duntocher Road, he turned up around 11.05pm and started shouting and banging doors. He yelled “open the f****** door now”, prompting the woman to call police.

Another witness heard Pert shouting that his ex didn’t “know what you’ve done”. He left within 10 minutes.

The 25-year-old’s defence solicitor told Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week the one positive in his life at the moment was he’d held a tenancy for a year. They also admitted Pert had avoided answering a warrant for his arrest for six months.

The lawyer added: “He has come to court with his bag. He has been out of trouble since the most recent offence.”

Sheriff William Gallacher, pointed out that Pert “utterly ignored” the court order jailed him.
