The West Glasgow Minor Injury Unit will close on Friday at 9pm with the service returning at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The minor injury unit had been opened in Yorkhill from January to April to enable NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to provide additional capacity over the winter months and Easter holiday weekend, when GP surgeries were closed.
However, the service will now return to the Queen Elizabeth at 9am on Saturday, April 21.
The minor injury unit is the only service affected at the West Glasgow site, which will continue to provide a range of local hospital outpatient services.
These services include cardiology, dermatology, dietetics, epilepsy, occupational health, orthopaedic, respiratory testing, maternity care and the children’s diabetes service.
