THE Golden Jubilee Foundation has been recognised as a top employer for supporting LGBT members of staff.
It was named in the top 100 employers in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index – the only Scottish NHS board on the list.
Jill Young, chief executive of the Golden Jubilee, said: “We are once again proud to be recognised as one of the top employers in the UK who are dedicated to celebrating equality and diversity within our workforce.
“A diverse workforce means that we can offer a wide range of ideas, skills, resources and energies to the life-changing work we carry out for NHS Scotland.
“In 2017, we launched our updated Trans Inclusion policy to enable trans staff and service users to feel supported. We were also delighted to have a group from Golden Jubilee march at Pride Glasgow for the first time and have developed our Golden Jubilee LGBT allies to champion equality across the foundation.”
