Driver caught speeding at more than 110mph over Erskine Bridge
A 19-YEAR-OLD driver has been arrested for allegedly speeding at more than 110mph over the Erskine Bridge.
Police observed the vehicle on the A82 at Glenhead Road, Parkhall, around 10pm on January 29 driving at excessive speeds and in a dangerous manner.
They reported the driver accelerating at the Kilbowie Roundabout, then further to more than 90mph towards the Erskine Bridge, travelling over the bridge and surpassing 110mph while passing the bridge slip-off.
The driver stopped a short distance later and he was arrested. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
