A MAN threatened to stab his cousin’s girlfriend after a booze-fuelled night in.
Ian Donald was drinking at a property on Kennedar Drive on September 10, 2016 along with his cousin and their partner.
Around 3.40am there was a verbal altercation which prompted Donald, of Ledmore Drive in Drumchapel, to grab a large knife.
The 32-year-old then stated: “I’m going to slit your throat then kill your girlfriend.”
Police were called to the scene and seen Donald running on the stairwell in possession of the knife.
Donald appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with carrying an offensive weapon.
His solicitor told the court the group had been consuming alcohol before the argument kicked off but that Donald has since abstained from drinking.
Sheriff Gerard Bonnar ordered Donald to undertake 225 hours of unpaid work within nine months.
