A CLYDEBANK man has been banned from the roads for a year.
David O’Donnell, of Wood Quadrant, previously pleaded guilty to driving on Great Western Road without due care or attention and collided with a lamp post and road sign.
The 39-year-old also had 52mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, more than twice the legal limit.
At Dumbarton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff William Gallacher said it was mere “good luck” O’Donnell was otherwise uninjured after he chose to drive while drunk.
As well as being disqualified for a year, O’Donnell was also ordered to carry out 90 hours of unpaid work in the community.
