A SMALL explosion in a Renfrew scrapyard could be heard across the river in Clydebank.
Reports of a loud bang and smoke coming from the Clydeside were spotted by Bankies at around 9.40am this morning.
A police vehicle and helicopter were dispatched but quickly confirmed the accidental explosion was due to gas cylinders being crushed in the yard.
There are no reported injuries.
