BOOGIE fever is about to hit the country as popular musical Boogie Nights begins a nationwide tour -with a Clydebank girl at the heart of the action. Nicola Meehan, 29, will be treading the boards every night alongside some well known faces, including the Osmonds, Gareth Gates and XFactor star Andy Abraham.

The Whitecrook performer admits she can't wait to get going and believes her experience of the show while at high school will stand her in good stead.

Talking exclusively to the Clydebank Post, Nicola said: "I am so excited about the show.

"I performed it at St Andrew's High School in my last year and I loved it, so I think that will help with the show.

"I have been working with this production company for a few years and have done another version of the show but when they asked me to do this one I was over the moon.

"I didn't even know the Osmonds were involved and when I heard I was so excited because they are legends. Although I think my mum is more excited than I am.

"There are a lot of big names in this show but they are all terrific. Chico is on another planet but is so nice and Gareth Gates is just lovely. He is so talented and his voice is incredible.

"Everyone in the cast is great and we have all really pulled together. Louisa Lytton, who was in Eastenders and the Bill, is in it too and I am playing her best friend and she is a sweetheart.
