There was further disappointment for Yoker Athletic at the weekend as their league tie at Greenock Juniors failed to beat the weather.

The postponement mean that the Whe-Ho have played just three league games in the Super League First Division since the start of November.

As the weather continues to wreak havoc on junior calendar, Yoker boss Steven Reilly will hope his men have the chance to build on their recent 4-1 win over Ardrossan Winton Rovers this weekend when they welcome Blantyre Victoria to Holm Park.

A David Crerand double helped Yoker on their way that day as they notched up another away win, their form on the road continues to impress while in comparison they have struggled at Holm Park.

Reilly’s side are without a league win at Holm Park since the first day of the season when they romped to a 5-1 win over Kilwinning Rangers, while they have won three times on the road.

One of those away wins came against Blantyre Victoria in September when Whe-Ho won 3-2.

Yoker recovered from going 2-1 down to win that day with David Crerand grabbing the winner. They will be hoping for a repeat performance on home soil.
