Duntocher professional golfer John Henry finished tied 15th after a rocky start at the EuroPro event in Crewe last week.

The Clydebank and District GC member started off the first day at Wychwood Park in the Motocaddy Masters strongly, but after carding -3 for the opening 12 holes, Henry went in +2 over after 18, bogeying three holes and double bogeying one.

But after scoring -4 on the second day, he was right back in the mix and made the cut, and followed that up with a final day score, coming in scoring a par 72 to consolidate his position.

Henry is now 14th in the order of merit, after slipping down in recent weeks after missing the last three events. The top five golfers at the end of the season qualify for a Challenge Tour card spot.

The next round of the EuroPro Tour takes place at Cavesham Heath GC today, with five courses left to go on the circuit.
