Clydebank and District Bowling Association The fourth round of matches in the CDBA League Cup were played on Friday, August 21. In Section A, Albion had an excellent win over Singer and Dalmuir went back to the top of Section A with a victory over Scotstounhill. Yarrow lost a bit of ground as they didn’t have a game but remain in second position. The results from Section A were as follows: Albion 9 Singer 5, Dalmuir 10 Scotstounhill 4, Yarrow no match. The Section A placings are as follows (number of games played in brackets): 1. Dalmuir 31 points (3 games), 2. Yarrow 23 points (3 games), 3. Singer 20 points (3 games), 4= Albion (3 games)/Scotstounhill (4 games) 19 points. In Section B, Clydebank played their final match against Yoker and secured their second 14-0 win in a row. Radnor Park are still in the hunt after beating Victoria Park to move into second place. The Section B results were as follows: Radnor Park 11 Victoria Park 3, Clydebank 14 Yoker 0, Old Kilpatrick no game. The Section B placings are as follows (games played in brackets): 1. Clydebank 41 points (4 games), 2. Radnor Park 30 points (3 games), 3. Old Kilpatrick 23 points (3 games), 4. Yoker 13 points (3 games), 5. Victoria Park 5 points (3 games). The CDBA Seniors David Syme League Week 15 matches were played on Monday, August 17. The top 3 clubs in the league all had 4-0 victories so things at the top stay unchanged. Scotstounhill defeated Victoria Park and the points were shared between Yarrow and Singer. The results from week 15 were as follows: Dalmuir 4 Albion 0, Clydebank 4 Old Kilpatrick 0, Scotstounhill 4 Victoria Park 0, Radnor Park 4 Yoker 0, Yarrow 2 Singer 2. The David Syme League positions are as follows: 1. Clydebank 47 points, 2. Radnor Park 40 points, 3. Dalmuir 39 points, 4. Yoker 34 points, 5. Albion 31 points, 6. Singer 28 points, 7. The first round matches in the CDBA Senior Top 3 singles competition were played on Tuesday, August 18. The results were as follows: Scotstounhill 2 Victoria Park 1 (at Singer), Yoker 2 Radnor Park 1 (at Scotstounhill), Clydebank 3 Albion 0 (at Yarrow) and Yarrow 2 Singer 1 (at Radnor Park). The semi-final ties were due to be played on Tuesday, August 25 and the matches were as follows: Scotstounhill v Yoker (at Clydebank) and Clydebank v Yarrow (at Old Kilpatrick). The date for the District Top 3 Final at Albion B.C. has yet to be confirmed but is likely to be a midweek date, probably Tuesday, September 1.

The CDBA Finals will be held at Albion B.C. on Saturday, September 5.

The Round One games in the CDBA Senior Fours Champion of Champion were contested on Thursday, August 20. The results of the matches were as follows: Dalmuir 21 Old Kilpatrick 7, Clydebank 14 Yoker 6, Singer 17 Victoria Park 16, Scotstounhill 15 Yarrow 12. The following semi-final ties will be played on Thursday, August 27: Dalmuir v Clydebank (at Scotstounhill) and Singer v Scotstounhill (at Radnor Park). The Senior Rinks Final will take place at Albion B.C. on Saturday 5th September alongside all the other Champion of Champions finals.
