Leaders Yoker suffered a rare defeat at Radnor Park. This allowed Clydebank to narrow the lead at the top of the league to 13 points and Clydebank have a game in hand. Yarrow stay in third spot despite losing at home and Dalmuir’s good run continued with a victory at Old Kilpatrick. Albion jumped up to fifth with a convincing home win over Singer. Yoker whitewashed Old Kilpatrick and keep up the pressure in second position. Third placed Radnor Park had a good away win at Dalmuir. SCOTTISH INDOOR BOWLING ASSOCIATION The Gents Indoor League recommenced on Saturday, January 10. In Division 1 South, Dumbarton were at home to second placed Inverclyde, but the Greenock team proved too strong. The final score was Dumbarton 72 Inverclyde 90. In Division 2 West, Whiteinch had a very comfortable 115-54 victory over Prestwick and stay in second position in the league. Allander did not have a match on Saturday and remain in fifth position. The penultimate league matches are due to be played on Saturday, January 17. In Division One South, it’s the battle of the bottom two teams as Dumbarton are at home to West of Scotland. In Division Two Section D, both Allander and Whiteinch have away matches. The fixtures are as follows: Galleon v Allander and Cowal v Whiteinch.

The Ladies National Indoor League resumed on Saturday, January 10. In Premier Division A, Whiteinch celebrated winning the league with one game still outstanding, after another great away victory at Perth. The final score was Perth 75 Whiteinch 77 which puts them four points clear of their nearest challengers. The Division One Section D match between Allander and Dumbarton had not been reported to SIBA. The final league games will be played on Saturday, January 17. In Premier Division A, Whiteinch have a home game against Falkirk. In Division 1 Section D, third placed Dumbarton are away to second placed West of Scotland and the Allander ladies are away at Lanarkshire.

The Senior National Indoor leagues were completed before Christmas. The first round of the National Team Championship will be played on Sunday, January 18. Allander are drawn to play against West of Scotland at Whiteinch IBC. Both Whiteinch and Dumbarton were beaten in the Preliminary Round.
