GARY Murphy took his team to Cardross to play in their second match of the McIntyre League last Wednesday.
This is always a difficult place to go but the team managed a 4-4 result and a well earned two points.
On Saturday, more than 170 players from the gents section competed in the captain and vice captain"s day.
In this, the only Stableford competition, the players are counting points not strokes.

The second class was even closer with four players all tying on 38 points: Ronnie Black, Gordon MacLean, Billy Richardson and, with the better inward score, winner David Walsh.
In third class, Alan Miller was leading for most of the day until the second last game when Steven Hainan came in with a better inward nine - both players scored 38 points. All the prizes were donated by club captain Gary Kinninmont and vice captain Steve Burns.
Sunday saw the return of the Jimmy Sharp Open.
