Smith's at the double
NEW Clydebank signing Graham Smith netted his second goal for his new club on Saturday.
And he hopes to bag more goals for the Bankies.
Smith, who was signed from Auchinleck Talbot, capped a dream debut last week by scoring against Cumnock and he continued his impressive form against Kilbirnie Ladeside on Saturday in the Holm Park side's 2-0 win at Valefield Park.
The new boy was delighted with his debut goal and told Sportscene: "It was great to score against Cumnock.
"Hopefully I can help the team with a few more goals from the right side."
The midfielder found himself in and out of the first team at Auchinleck Talbot and had been on the transfer list for three weeks when the call came from Budgie McGhie.
Smith was desperate for a run of games which he was being denied at Talbot but that was not the only reason that convinced him Clydebank was the right club for him.
He said: "I was looking for a local move so the 15 minute journey to training from my home in Paisley was another factor in the move."
Manager McGhie was also pleased to get the deal done for a player who he feels will add a lot to the team.
He said: "We are always looking at teams like Auchinleck and in the seniors to see if anyone is not featuring and may interest us. With Graham we moved quickly and agreed a deal with Auchinleck and with Graham.
"Graham is one of those players who may not be prolific but will help out as not only will he score, he will also assist goals and get back to help the defence."
