Busy weekend for Clydesdale Harriers

The Clydesdale Harriers had an extremely busy weekend of the 20th/21st. Most recent was the Diet Coke East Kilbride Half Marathon.

Four harriers took part. Fastest finisher for the club was Brian Gallagher (1.26.44) followed by Bobby Rossborough (1.28.21), Kath Scott (1.30.11 pb) and Christine Duncanson (1.42.19).

Next event that day was the Mens Health Forum 10k at Bellahouston Park. The ever improving Colin Gray finished comfortably in 48.36.

The previous day was the Glen Rosa Horshoe Hill Race (1670m ascent and 20k in distance) where Michael Diver finished in 3.40.08.

The last race that day was the ultra race The West Highland Way Race (4499m ascent and 95 miles) where Aileen Scott continued to improve in her third attempt running 22h 23m 21s and finishing as third lady.

John Foley was running it for the first time finishing well in a time of 27h 59m 1s.

Lastly on the previous Wednesday was the Kirkintilloch Olympians 10k where plenty of prizes for the club were won.

Fastest Clydesdale was John Kennedy (36.49 2nd veteran over 40), closely followed by Gerry Montgomery (36.53 1st vet over 50), Craig Calderwood (38.07), Martin King (42.00), Fiona McCue (42.45 3rd lady overall and 1st vet 35 prize), Marina McCallum (4th lady overall and 3rd lady prize), Christine Duncanson (46.44 2nd vet 45) and Colin Gray (49.59).

John, Gerry and Craig also won 1st mens team prize and Fiona, Marina and Christine also won 2nd ladies team prize
