Central League Cup final
Clydebank 2 Ashfield 0
CLYDEBANK lifted the Central League Cup on Tuesday night after a thrilling encounter with league rivals Ashfield.
Budgie McGhie's troops, who have had a gruelling schedule over the past few weeks, produced a goal either side of half-time to secure the silverware.
The breakthrough came on 26 minutes when Gary Lynn sent in a vicious in-swinging free kick which was put into his own net by Ashfield captain Mark Thomson
The second came just after the hour when Mark Kilpatrick steadied himself well to slot the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
