Yoker Athletic manager Steven Reilly [pictured] says his side didn’t do enough to win the game, after they lost to Girvan 3-1 on Saturday.
The Whe-Ho had taken the lead through Gary Arbuckle, but the Seasiders bounced back via David Cunningham, Robert Paterson and Stevie McCreadie.
Athletic have now lost five games in a row after their strong start to the season, and Reilly admits his side are finding it difficult to turn things around.
He said: “Once you get a run of losing games it’s hard to get out of it.
“We started brightly and we missed a great chance to go 2-0 up.
“But ultimately we didn’t do enough to get the win. We didn’t make the other team work hard enough, but we need to keep working hard.”
The Yoker boss is in the market for an experienced centre-half to help out his young team, and he hopes to wrap a signing up before this weekend’s fixture at home to Renfrew.
The Frew picked up their first win of the league campaign on Saturday, beating Irvine Victoria 1-0 at New Western Park.
Kick-off for that game is at 2pm at Holm Park on Saturday.
