A lack of height contributing to set piece goals being lost No I don’t go along with that, we could probably use that as an excuse with our centre backs Andy Irvine and Graeme Mort being injured. But if you look at the goals we are losing they generally aren’t from high balls into the box and our guys being out jumped. The corner on Saturday comes from a misplaced pass from Scott Walker — who had a good game — Scott thinks the ball bobbled on the pitch to be fair. Any team that is doing well it is not just the centre backs who defend well at set pieces there are six or seven in the box generally who have to do their jobs and our back three played well on Saturday.

Rivals picking up points at the weekend At the end of the day we need to start winning league game and not worry about other results. I’m sure if we can improve our results we can maybe think about other teams but we need to improve ourselves first.

Facing West Calder I expect a tough game. On paper we should be expecting to win the game but our performance against Craigmark showed we can’t take them lightly. They have also had some good results in big games and they’re a team who can raise their game on the big occasion so it will be difficult.

Transfers Junior Mendes is still on trial he hasn’t signed. The problem is by Junior’s own admission he isn’t fit enough to start games so until we see him fully fit it’s hard to make a decision.

Reece Pearson was released at his own request. He was unhappy that he wasn’t playing every week and we couldn’t guarantee him that.

We will look to bring more players in, there will be changes.
