Meadow disappointment I was really disappointed to come away from Saturday’s game with nothing — especially in the manner of which Irvine Meadow got their winner.

The nature of the defeat is the toughest thing to take and I feel a draw would have been a much fairer result on the balance of play.

Obviously the main fact was that it was never a penalty, if you watch it back Paul Bell clearly wins the ball and even if the ref 100 per cent believes it was a penalty then he should have sent him off for preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity — but he didn’t even book him so therefore wasn’t applying the laws of the game.

I think the referee was influenced by the reaction of the Meadow players which is disappointing because I feel we matched them over the course of the game.

Rub of the green IT seems in recent weeks we just haven’t been getting the luck that you sometimes need at this level.

We aren’t the sort of side who will go out and blame referees for defeats but we haven’t been getting big calls in the last few games.

Decisions just haven’t been going our way which is frustrating but it will eventually come.

Petershill test THIS Saturday we travel through to face Petershill which we know will be a very difficult game.

Petershill picked up a great result at the weekend so we will have to be at our best if we are to get all three points.

It is never an easy place to go but even though we have only managed to get one point from the opening three games the boys are still in good spirits.

We have competed in every game this season and they have all been tight.

We have had chances to win games so we are confident we can come away with something.

Quality Mark I was delighted to see that the club has been awarded with the Quality Mark.

Credit must go to our secretary Matt Bamford who has put in hours of work behind the scenes to make it possible and we are all delighted for both him and the club that it has become a reality.

It is great recognition and Matt deserves a special mention for all of his hard work for the club.
