Another three points Obviously we were very pleased to win on Saturday against Kirkintilloch Rob Roy and I think over the course of the 90 minutes we edged the match and deserved the points.

The game was played in difficult conditions on a bumpy pitch with a strong wind but although the conditions were not conducive to good football I think we still managed to play well and get what we deserved.

I felt over the 90 minutes their main threat came from set pieces while in open play we played the better football and we were happy to get the three points as it got us back on track after the disappointment of the defeat against Hurlford in our last match.

Fond farewell Saturday was the last league match ever to be played at Rob Roy’s Adamslie Park and it will be sad to see it go.

It was always a nice place to visit with good surroundings and it is always a shame to see good traditional grounds like that disappear off the radar.

Although I don’t know all the ins and outs I just hope Rob Roy end up in a good facility and I hope it works out well for them.

Looking forward On Saturday we face Kilbirnie Ladeside who will pose another tough test.

Recently we are probably in slightly better form then them but when we played them earlier in the season we drew down there and they gave a good account of themselves on Saturday against Talbot, and only lost 1-0, so we know they are a good side.

We return to cup action next Wednesday in the Central League Cup when we face either Neilston or Johnstone Burgh in the third round, with those two playing their second round tie on Monday night.

On paper and form Neilston will be favourites to progress against Burgh but it is cup football so we know nothing is guaranteed.

Either myself or one of the backroom staff will go along to their game on Monday night but we already know a few of the players involved, with Martin McInnes and Derek Kennedy at Neilston and Martin McIntyre at Johnstone Burgh — it will be good to see them again, I just hope none of them enjoy success against their old club!
