JOHN McAuley hailed Gary Arbuckle's dramatic last gasp effort after Yoker came from behind to nab three points against Vale of Leven.

Alan Gourlay put Vale ahead right on half time and 10 minutes after the break Michael Roger levelled before Arbuckle sealed the comeback.

The Holm Park assistant said: "I felt we went a goal down against the run of play and it was up hill as we missed a lot of chances.

"One shot was cleared from the line, we had a header off the post and their keeper was lucky when he fumbled and managed to collect before it went over the line.

"We were unlucky to go in one down at half time.

"We asked them to keep going doing the same thing and to re-group as the luck had been with the Vale, it would come, just to be patient.

"But we scored a quick goal and before Gary's winner we had hit the crossbar on 88 minutes and we felt that it was the final chance and that was that.

"Gary has scored five goals in six matches and he is doing the business - we have just got to keep the run going now."

Yoker take on Vale of Clyde on Saturday at Holm Park, kick-off 1.45pm.
