Striker hopes to seal permanent Hibs deal

EmailCLYDEBANK football star Alan Gow has reinforced his desire to make a return to Easter Road, after being released by Plymouth Argyle, writes Kristian Truelsen.
Gow, from Whitecrook, went on loan to the Edinburgh side from the English Championship club last season.
And now the 27-year-old wants to link up with John Hughes on a permanent basis after being told by the Pilgrims that he was surplus to requirements.
The former Braidfield High pupil revealed to Sport Scene this week that he has still to speak to the Easter Road gaffer, but wants to finalise a deal when he returns from the club's pre-season tour in Holland.
Gow said: "Hibs are away in Holland at the moment and they just left on Thursday so I will have to wait until he returns.
"Of course I would like to join Hibs.
"I know the management well and I'm friendly with a lot of the players.
"We will just need to see what happens."
Despite his six-month spell at Hibs being hit by injury, Gow enjoyed his time at the Edinburgh club and is now back fit and raring to go this season.
He added: "It was a good experience playing for Hibs last season.
"It was good to be back playing and being back home as well.
"Unfortunately I was injured last season so I did not play as often as I should have but I am fine now."
Gow played under Hughes when he was at Falkirk where he became a household name in the SPL.
Hughes is also hoping the ex-Rangers hitman comes back to Hibs, but admitted a move is still a long way off.
He said: "I would love to get Alan back but no talks have taken place.
"There has been a lot of work going on at the stadium and it may mean I have to shuffle the pack a bit to try and bring in Alan or anyone else for that matter."
