BANKIES boss Budgie McGhie's injury worries have been eased this week.

Joint top scorer Stevie Dallas has managed to make a full recovery from his injury while Stevie Dymock is returning to full fitness.

McGhie revealed Stevie Blair may need to undergo an operation for his knee injury, but is confident he will return to full fitness.

He said: "The only positive to take from the freeze is the fact players have had a chance to recover from injuries.

"Stevie Dallas has fully recovered. Stevie Dymock is almost there, but he can still feel his injury in training - by the time games start to be played we hope he will be ready to go.

"Stevie Blair is to have a scan on his knee injury and he could possibly have to have an operation, but so far it is positive.

"There have been a few other players who have had knocks such as Paul Allum and Mark Hailstones, but they have had a chance to recover.

"And with Scott Marshall (see page 39 for interview) signing for the club, that will take the squad up to 19 players."

With Clydebank's fourth-round Emirates Scottish Junior Cup tie against Port Glasgow on Saturday looking doubtful, McGhie hopes his men can play a friendly against Central District Second Division leaders Shettleston.

He said: "We are hoping to play Shettleston at the indoor facility in Toryglen if the cup tie is off. Shettleston just need to sort out paper work with the SJFA."
