Both teams had chances inside the first couple of minutes. Maitland had a great chance at the back post for Yoker but he shot wide when unmarked.

PJ Dolan almost caught Yoker keeper Winslow out when his cross almost dropped under the bar but the big keeper managed to touch it over for a corner. The home side had chances to go in front, but again poor finishing would cost them. Arbuckle fired over from two yards when it looked easier to score.

A long ball from the Yoker defence put Arbuckle through on goal but he shot wide with only the keeper to beat. The home side had the better of the chances in the first half but it remained goalless at the break.

Arbuckle had a chance to put Yoker ahead inside 60 seconds of the restart but he headed wide of the target. PJ Dolan was again looking lively for Kilsyth and forced Winslow in to another save after he picked up a loose ball and drove at the Yoker defence.

Just past the hour mark Kilsyth broke the deadlock. Nicky Prentice went on another of his typical driving runs, he fed the ball to Duffy out wide who chipped the ball to the back post where Joe Barclay took a touch and fired the ball past Winslow in the Yoker goal.

Yoker pressed but were unable to find an equaliser, as the 90 minutes approached there was a huge shout for handball from the Yoker players and supporters. The ball appeared to strike Doyle’s hand but the referee wasn’t interested. Kilsyth held on and took all three points back to Duncansfield.
