We were maybe a bit unlucky early on not to make more of a couple of good moves. Derek Carcary was the best player on the park but unfortunately he picked up a back injury, he soldiered on but it affected his game.

If we are being critical on the first goal, it comes from a deflection and the Shotts player finished it well but before the deflection we could’ve dealt with it better.

Having a free week and the message to players after the game I’d much rather have a game than a free weekend at this point, we’ll need to decide whether to just have a training session on Saturday or try and arrange a friendly.

I told the players that it was another opportunity missed. But no matter where we are sitting in the table we expect them to have pride in pulling on the Clydebank jersey.

That’s never changed but it is important that the players put everything in between now and the end of the season.

Chances of avoiding relegation There is no point in looking at what other teams are doing. A couple of the boys said after the game that this one lost and that one lost, we need to forget about what other teams are doing and focus on ourselves.

It would be foolish to say that I am confident we will get out of trouble. We can keep saying we have big games against teams around us and I suppose they will be crucial but we just need to win games whoever they are against.

The stats are against us but while it is still possible we have to keep going.
