Drumchapel Table Tennis Club star Martin Perry is one of a ten-strong team from Great Britain heading to the Slovakia Para Open and the Slovenia Para Open this month.
The Slovakian competition starts tomorrow in Bratislava and will be followed by the Slovenian tournament in Lasko, which begins on Wednesday May 9.
The back-to-back tournaments always provide a tough test for players and will continue to do so this year with all the strongest nations represented, with the exception of China.
Perry, however, will be looking to draw on his experience and continue his good form overseas following his third place finish in this year’s British Para Table Tennis National Championships in Grantham in April.
The 23-year-old dominated the class 6 at the competition along with fellow European team gold medallists Paul Karabardak and David Wetherill.
Ultimately, however, it was Karabardak who came out on top, defeating Wetherill in three close sets in the final (10, 9, 10) to take the title.
