Duntocher professional golfer Scott Henry lost his European Tour Card at the weekend after missing the cut at the Andalucia Valderrama Masters at the weekend.

The 30-year-old was already facing a tough ask sitting in 199th before proceedings started on Wednesday, needing to win the event to get into the top 100 and keep their cards in the Race for Dubai.

He will now have to requalifying for the European Tour by going through via a Tour qualifying school.

Henry finished the first two rounds of the Spanish course with a score of nine over, with only scores of four over making the cut.

Tournament host Sergio Garcia made a successful, if rather belated, title defence in the Andalucia Valderrama Masters to claim a sixth victory on home soil.

Masters champion Garcia, who won the last staging of the event in 2011, carded a closing 67 to finish 12 under par, a shot ahead of Holland’s Joost Luiten.
