Drumchapel Glasgow 1 got off to a fantastic start at the first weekend of Women’s British League – finishing top of Division 3 with 10 points.

On the first day Rebecca Plaistow, Lucy Elliott and Alisa Khalid played their first three matches. Firstly, they took on Graham Spicer TTC securing their first win 6-0.

They then went on to play Halton TTC 2 taking a 5-1 win.

The last match of the day the girls continuing their good form defeating St. Andrew’s 5-1 to secure Drumchapel a place at the top of the division going into day two.

On the second day the Drum were first up against Cardiff Ladies TTC where they secured another 6-0 victory.

The girls went into their last match of the weekend two points clear at the top of the division.

They were up against MK Vixens were the girls kept up the good form not dropping a match, grabbing another 6-0 win.

Rebecca Plaistow and Lucy Elliott went through the weekend undefeated all 10 of their singles matches.

Drumchapel Glasgow 1 are sitting top of the division, two points clear going into the second weekend in a strong position.

Drumchapel Glasgow 2 were also in action in Division 5, with Catherine O’Neill, Senga Thomson and Paula Callaghan, with Paula competing in her first Women’s British League matches.
