Rugby side Glasgow Hawks are offering free entry to Scotstoun, Whiteinch and Knightswood pupils and parents to Saturday’s game against Heriot’s at Scotstoun.

The BT Premiership side are playing their home games at the Glasgow Warriors' home ground while their current home game is unavailable due to a sinkhole appearing in their Old Anniesland pitch.

The Hawks have already played one game at the Scotstoun ground, winning their season opener on 2 September against Marr 41-28.

And to encourage a bumper crowd The Hawks have offered free admission for all Scotstoun Primary, St Paul’s (Whiteinch) Primary School, Knightswood Secondary School and St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School kids and parents.

They backed that win up last season with a 28-18 win against current champions Ayr, and sit fourth in the table.

The game on Saturday kicks off at 2pm, with entry opening for Scotstoun opening at 1pm.

Prior to the match there will be a minutes silence for former Hawks and Glasgow Warriors player Steve Begley, who died last weekend whilst competing in a triathlon in Singapore.
