Five young people from Dunbartonshire Disability Sports Club’s Sports Stars Scheme are about to commence an eight-month placement programme.
Michael Toy, Natalie Brockett, Brandon Friel, Karyn Lynch and Leah Nally are all to take part in the scheme with West Dunbartonshire Leisure.
The programme, funded by Big Lottery, will allow the participants to gain valuable experience and knowledge in sports coaching.
Alan Crawford, sports development manager said: “This is a very exciting project for the trust and working in partnership with Dunbartonshire Disability Sports Club has proved a great success.
“We are committed to providing and expanding opportunities for people with disabilities and this project underpins that commitment.
“We look forward to working with everyone involved.”
