DRUMCHAPEL Table Tennis Club completed a historic double as they clinched the British Premier Division title one week after securing the Scottish national title.
It was a somewhat routine victory for the Drum side as Liu Song, Calum Main, Huang Yen Che and Sepehr Bidari completed a 7-1 win over already relegated Halton.
The win in Widnes, Lancashire, was the latest in a season in which Drumchapel have swept all before them in Scotland and Britain
They have proved unbeaten in both league campaigns so far and claimed the British title with two games to spare in the season having won 10 matches and drawn the other.
It is Drumchapel’s third British League title and they become the only Scottish club to win both leagues in the same season.
The British Premier Division success also gives them the chance to compete on the European stage next season.
The Drum beat Murrayfield and drew with North Ayrshire to secure their second Scottish League win last weekend.
