Old Kilpatrick racer Rob Kerr was in action again on Sunday in the Ford Fiesta Championship at Knockhill.

Kerr and his team have been working hard to improve their racing times in RK Racing’s debut year in the sport.

And they are now sitting in the 1.08 bracket.

This did not come easily with numerous technical difficulties along the way, including a cracked windscreen, an exhaust ripped off due to a spin and a ‘stuck on’ throttle cable.

RK Racing have given away a number of tickets throughout the racing season and for the last racing event of the Ford Fiesta Championship season on Sunday, October 2, they are donating two tickets as a raffle prize for the Stephen Roy Memorial Trophy.

The Stephen Roy Memorial Trophy football match is being held in memory of the Paisley boy who tragically lost his fight with bowel cancer this year at just 18 years of age.

Some of the teams wanted to do something in memory of Stephen and are now arranging a memorial game in his honour on Sunday involving as many players from Stephen’s past clubs and school teams as possible.

The organisers have set up a memorial fund and would like to use this game to raise funds in Stephen’s name to help his family get through this terrible time.

All proceeds raised will be passed on to the Roy family.

More details about Sunday’s football match can be found on the ‘Stephen Roy Memorial Trophy’ facebook page.
