OVER 500 school pupils from across West Dunbartonshire were on their marks at Balloch Country Park on Friday for the WD School Cross-Country Relay.
A big turnout of runners as well as friends and family to offer support on the day contributed to a successful day’s competition.
The event is always a highpoint of the school athletics calendar and there was plenty of talent on show for the P6-S1 event.
Local schools St Eunan’s Primary, St Stephen’s Primary, Gavinburn Primary, Kilbowie Primary, Clydemuir Primary and Clydebank High were among the teams in a jam-packed field.
Winners on the day were rewarded at the medal ceremony once the racing had come to a close.
