Pupils at Our Lady of Loretto have been treated to brand new Nintendo DS consoles.

However, they won't be allowed to slack off and play games.

The schools PTA raised money to buy the consoles on which the children will be able to play Brain Training and number puzzles so that they become fun but also educational.

Deputy headteacher, Drew Murray, said: "We are always looking at ways to improve and finding innovative ways of educating the children."
