POST reader David Fitzpatrick sent in this photograph of Singer apprentices from 1954.

It was taken outside a hostel which says 'Jersey Youth Movement' on the front, and it was their second trip to the Channel Island.

The workers got a bus to the south of England then a plane to Jersey.
