Google misinformation

I found the 'Smack, bang, wallop' article in the Clydebank Post [May 12] in which the fiscal depute Malcolm McLeod, described the route of a car being followed by the police to an assembled Dumbarton Sheriff Court, particularly interesting - but equally bewildering.

He informed the court that the vehicles turned left out of Seaforth Road, Clydebank, and onto Ives Road... then into Montrose Street.

Is/was this section of Argyll Road called Ives Road?

It has recently made an appearance on the online Google Map of the area, along with a nearby unknown 'Sinclair Square', otherwise known as Arran Place.

Or is it Google misinformation?

If so, perhaps the fiscal's office or the local police are all too ready to accept what they see on the internet to be accurate and truthful, when compiling their court reports.
