Kramola Fizz

Print | Email

I READ with excitement in the Post that somebody had perfected their own version of Creamola Foam - Kramola Fizz - and hot footed it down to the said shop with excitement, probably just like lots of readers did as I have been waiting countless years for its return.

However, when I got there and bought it I was surprised to find it in a small plastic tub with instructions how to make it printed on a small piece of paper, but not being judgemental I paid my £1.50 and took it home.

I made up a glass to the word with anticipation, and could not believe that sweetmaker Allan McCandlish thinks he got near to perfecting such an iconic drink from my childhood and has apparently spent nine years doing so, only to come up with a taste that was closer to liver salts. I was very disappointed.

I would be interested to hear from any other readers who have tried it and what they thought.
