    School disappointment

    I WAS led to believe, from a previous issue of your newspaper, that an opportunity for old pupils and members of the community to visit Goldenhill Primary, a school holding myriad happy memories for many members of the local community would be made available prior to its demolition and the opening of the new school this summer.

    Great play was being made by the two Labour correspondants, McLeod and Spencer, in the letters page of May 26, about our new MP, Gemma Doyle, being a local resident.

    Google misinformation

    I found the 'Smack, bang, wallop' article in the {{SITENAME}} [May 12] in which the fiscal depute Malcolm McLeod, described the route of a car being followed by the police to an assembled Dumbarton Sheriff Court, particularly interesting — but equally bewildering.
