BILL McAdam and Betty Bulloch held off their nearest challengers by a half point to win Clydebank and District Golf Club"s 25th Jimmy Sharp mixed Open competition on Saturday.
Popular as ever, a field of 64 teams teed off, with competitors from as afar afield as Aberdeen and Skelmorlie as well as most of the Dunbartonshire area clubs.
The winning pair"s 67 shaded the round of 67.5 from Maurice Liddell and Margaret Patton.
The Gravil family took the next two prizes with brothers David and Hugh finishing in third and fourth with their partners Alison Campbell and Jane Gravil. They scored 69 and 70.
Fifth prize was picked up by Andrew Alexander from Crowwood and Pauline Bourhill from Milngavie, while the scratch prize was won by Ian and Lorraine Campbell from Cardross GC.
The club thanks Morag Wright and her team for arranging the event and the Sharp Family for their continued support.
Thank to sponsors: Jennifer Alexander, Robert Campbell and John Wright, Graeme Latto and his greens team for the excellent condition of the course and Lesley Banks and Kevin Frew for the catering.
The Jimmy Sharp was just one part of a busy week at Hardgate.

A repeat defeat looked on the cards early on, but when Ryan Skivington turned his match around, the rest of the team followed his example.
