REGARDING Mr Robertson MP saying he is sick of people going on about MPs" expenses, I looked at his website.
It does not go into details, for example, it does not say he spent £575 at Ikea.
He bought four bags of potpourri at 50p each, two milk frothers at 99p each and an artificial flower for £6. He spent £10,300 on food - now that is more than many in his constituency get in pensions and benefits.
Then there was a bill for £5,700 for cleaning, plus £625 for the window cleaner.
These were printed in an English [broadsheet] I just happened to see - my friend told me about it.
I find it insulting what these MPs have been getting away with. How can he justify £10,300 on food I do not know - that might buy me food for two whole years.
Why on earth should I pay for an artificial flower and milk frothers out of my taxes for this man when he is earning a good salary?
J McAllister, Knightswood
