Get Rebecca out! Comment Bubble

I've tried to like her, I really have but Rebecca's continual whining is driving me to distraction. It's enough and time for her to go.

As I spent a good few years living in Coventry, I was inclined to like Rebecca. She is after all one of the city's finest and best known exports now, along with reality TV veterans The Armstrongs and the bloke who plays the man married to the woman from Goodness Gracious Me in Eastenders. [I know, it's hardly a hall of fame].

Arrow Being Human gets a full series Comment Bubble

The nature of my job is such that I get a lot of press releases through every day. Depressingly most of them are dross. There are a shocking number that are misspelled, misaddressed (no, I'm not a man, or the Editor), or downright misguided (why would I care that it's national Alfalfa Sprout week?). Of course there are useful press releases that come through - well written ones that make your job easier but, alas, they are the minority.

Arrow If this is what Being Human means then I'm happy with that! Comment Bubble

We live in the digital TV age. But it's not as shiny and wonderous as it sounds. Think less Jetson's futuristic wonder, more Lily Allen being given a chance to make a show about her Myspace mates despite the fact she has all the TV presenting charisma of Gordon the Gopher. And Lenny Henry spinning entire series out of all those viral You Tube videos you've been sent about a year ago and weren't actually that funny to start with. And -- ok, I'm starting to rant.

Arrow Ways to say I love you... Comment Bubble

Valentine's Day is rubbish. Fact. While I love the idea of romantic gestures - even with my cynical exterior I'm a big sap underneath it all - the idea that there is one day of the year when you have to pay over the odds to go out and eat overpriced food sat elbow to elbow with dozens of other grumpy looking people doing the same leaves me cold. Cold.

Aircraft safety

On the day when more than 150 people tragically died in an aircraft incident in Madrid, I was horrified to read suggestions from a small number of local residents (Clydebank Post, August 20) for a campaign of direct action designed to hinder the safe operation of arriving and departing aircraft at Glasgow Airport.
