THE body of a man murdered almost ten weeks ago has yet to be released to his family.
Euan Johnston, 26, was shot multiple times in a “targeted, planned attack” as he sat in his car with a friend at a junction in Shields Road on November 15.
His family have been unable to hold a funeral for the father-of-two as the procurator fiscal have not released his body.
Police are yet to make any arrests regarding the incident, which is believed to be the reason behind the decision.
If the case goes to trial, the defence has the right to ask for a second post-mortem to be carried out.
The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service confirmed that the body had not been released earlier this week but could not comment on the current situation.
Police have revealed that a car involved in the fatal shooting in Glasgow was stolen six months previously.
