A SHOCKING social networking site which boasts of drug taking, violence and casual sex at a popular Clydebank hotel complex has been condemned by the venue's owners.

The Twitter account mocks the alleged antics of club-goers at the Boulevard Hotel which has become an institution for young people in the area.

The feed, called @TheBoulie, has attracted hundreds of followers with regular tweets of apparent sordid behaviour at the popular venue which features two nightclubs and two restaurants.

Some of the tweets are too offensive to print.

It also urges others give details of their nights of debauchery and provides regular updates about the behaviour of customers and staff.

But the site was this week condemned by owners of the Great Western Road complex who have already demanded it be removed because of its shocking content.

Beneath "The Boulie" username, it encourages clubbers to take the class A drug ecstasy before they arrive at the hotel for a night out.

It says: "Come have the night off your life and gub some eckies".

Other tweets celebrate violence against women such as one posted on July 19 which praised the behaviour of American rapper Chris Brown who assaulted his pop star girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

It said: "Chris Brown would beat on all you Clydebank b*****s. And yous (sic) would deserve it!"

An earlier tweet on July 11 asks followers about casual sex at the Boulevard Hotel.

Almost 419 tweets have been written by the person responsible for the site.

The tone of the tweets may be intended to be humourous, but they have darker undertones and appear to glamourise violence.

The owners of the hotel were furious by the unofficial Twitter site and urged people to visit the @officialboulie A spokesman for the Boulevard Hotel said the company had already been assured the account would be removed.

He said: "We are not in any way associated with this unnofficial site and find its content disgusting and derogatory. We are angry about the account using our name when it is in no way connected with our business "We have contacted Twitter in an effort to get it removed and are consulting our lawyers with a view to taking legal action."

The Post understand that the page has since been taken down.
