CLYDEBANK funny man Kevin Bridges enlisted the help of David Beckham to help a young girl battling cancer.
The 25-year-old from Hardgate was filming the Jonathan Ross show last night with the former England Captain and singer Jessie J
Earlier in the day, his parents had told of him of eight-year-old Vanessa Riddle's battle against a rare form of cancer - Stage 4 (High-Risk) Neuroblastoma.
And he asked the superstar duo and Jonathan to sign a pair of pants which will be auctioned to help raise the £500,000 needed to send Vanessa to America for specialist treatment not available on the NHS.
Referring to the campaign, Kevin tweeted: (Also), my Mum and Dad have told me about this... Fair play to everyone doing their bit, great to see."
Vanessa had initially finished her grueling treatment at Yorkhill Hospital in August 2010 and was given the all clear.
However, her family was given the devastating news in December that the cancer had relapsed.
A blog from her dad Chris on the Neuroblastoma website reads: "We do not have any relapse protocols in the UK.
"This is due to the Government not investing any money into relapse treatments for this disease. This is a very different story to the United States where there are many relapse protocols and taking her there will dramatically increase her chances of long term survival."
A delighted Vanessa later tweeted to Kevin: "Thanks for RT about my appeal, will really help raise awareness for my treatment in the USA."
