A VIOLENT robber with the word 'HATE' tattooed on his knuckles brutally mugged a woman on her way to work.
The mugger pushed the terrified 42-year-old victim to the ground after creeping up on her while she listened to music on her MP3 player.
He then punched her in the face before making off with her purse.
The Clydebank woman told the Post: "I actually thought he was going to kill me." She noticed the distinctive tattoo of the word 'HATE' across the knuckles of his left hand.
She says he was around 6ft tall, or possibly taller, white, very skinny, with a gaunt face, facial piercings, tanned skin, freckles and rotten teeth.
She said: "I can't sleep, I'm having really severe nightmares.
"I had to go to the doctor and get sleeping tablets.
"If I'm going out, now my husband or my kids have to go with me. I was absolutely petrified."
The incident happened in broad daylight as she walked down a lane leading from Vanguard Street, Drumry, to Montrose Street at 8.40am on Wednesday.
Anyone who has any information on the mugging - who saw it or has any information on who might have carried it out - should contact Clydebank police on 0141 532 3300 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
