Search for missing woman

POLICE are searching for a 34-year-old woman from the area who has gone missing.

Margaret Welsh, from Knightswood, was last seen in the Western Infirmary around 6.50pm on Friday.

Enquiries carried out have, so far, failed to trace her whereabouts. Margaret is described as white, of a very slim build, with long dark hair which is kept up.

It is thought she was wearing a beige tracksuit top and dark tracksuit bottoms when she left the hospital.

Constable Perjit Uppal, from Partick police office, said: "Margaret's family is becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and well-being and l would appeal to anyone, who may be aware of her present whereabouts or her movements since Friday, to contact Partick police office on 0141 532 3555 as a matter of urgency."
