A WORKER required hospital treatment after being hit by a van at the height of the rush hour on Monday morning.
The 36-year-old was hit on Dumbarton Road, Yoker, near Dyke Road, by a van coming from the direction of Clydebank around 8.30am.
Concerned motorists and the van driver rushed to help the stricken pedestrian - who was wearing a high visibility vest - as he lay stunned on the ground.
One eye witness to the aftermath told the Post: "I was driving towards Clydebank and I became aware of the incident when the van in front of me stopped.
"I looked up and saw a man wearing a hi-vis vest with his back against the front of a white van - which had been coming the other way - as if he'd just slumped against it."
Police confirmed the man was taken by ambulance to the Western Infirmary and was found to have only suffered minor injuries.
They were still investigating the cause of the accident at the time of going to press.
