Attempted murder

A STABBING victim remains in a serious condition in hospital after an alarming afternoon attack last week near a notorious violence hot spot.

Residents have been stunned by the weapon assault on the 36-year-old Clydebank man in what police are treating as an attempted murder.

The incident took place on Kirkwood Avenue, Linnvale, near to a footbridge across the canal into Whitecrook, in broad daylight on Tuesday February 16 at 4.20pm.

It is believed a knife was used in the attack.
